Programmers Love Caffeine: But How Much is Too Much?

I thought it would be funny to place this under the programming tools section, since we all know caffeine is a programmers life blood. A colleague sent me a link to a blog entry named Death by Caffeine which basically tells you how many cans of Mountain Dew, RedBull, Coke, Coffee and so on would actually kill you.

Every programmer should review this before stepping over that line.

So for RustyBrick, currently we have 9 programmers working in-house. Let's assume the average weight is 180lbs, multiplied by 9 = 1,620lbs. To kill us all, it would take...

2010.27 cans of Mountain Dew + You = Death mountain dew limonande.jpg
1382.06 cans of Red Bull + You = Death red-bull.jpg

Caffeine is as far as I know water soluable, and should therefore not detain in the body that long time. But it is the deadly dose your body should not contain at any one point.
Of course the nauscea and heart troubles already occupring ought to stop you having any more.
This is not a reccomended daily intake or anything, it is a lethal dose, but since caffein does not stay in the body for long (also speeds up the urine production) it's more the long term wear of it that limits the daily intake.

Hope that helps.
